GAC URUGUAY is looking for a Boarding Agent - Operations Assistant to join the team.
The candidate must have the ability to manage the workflow in an orderly manner, demonstrating versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Core Responsibilities
- Comprehensive support for vessels and their stakeholders.
- Coordinate vessel’s arrivals, operations, services, and departures.
- Respond to operational inquiries as quickly as possible, ensuring that all parties receive regular updates and responses to all their requests.
- Issuance of documents: forms, SOF, mate receipts, bills of lading, cargo manifests, and other operational-related documents.
- Manage the transmission of data via the system to Customs.
- Regular visits to vessels are required during operations, whether in port or in anchorage areas.
- With knowledge and experience in shipping agency.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant work experience preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in both oral and written English.
- Strong attention to details with good organizational skills.
- Capable of following up and completing tasks in a timely manner.
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work under pressure.
- Able to function self-sufficiently, but also as part of a team.
- Must possess self-motivation and be able to perform primary job functions unsupervised and in accordance with the GAC Standards.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think and respond quickly to customer service issues.
- As we provide services 24/7, there will be periods of increased workload, so flexible hours and/or working different schedules are required.
