Area:

In the Montevideo HUB, we have the Human Resources Services (HRS) area, where we support the employee journey of over 23,000 collaborators at BASF, from their entry to their exit. In March 2021, we began building the Human Resources team for the Americas, which now consists of more than 200 people impacting the entire value chain of BASF. Among other things, this team is responsible for talent attraction and recruitment, developing the Employer Brand, working on employee development, designing the compensation and benefits package, and managing the administrative processes related to Human Resources management.


Main Objective of the Position:

As a Recruiter, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing essential operational tasks to ensure an efficient hiring process across BASF's various business units in the United States and Canada.


Main Tasks:

  • Identify qualified candidates, conduct phone interviews, and encourage the completion of assessments.
  • Keep the candidate pipeline updated, promptly rejecting those who do not meet the minimum requirements.
  • Provide support to candidates via email and phone to encourage participation in the recruitment process, clarify any questions, promote BASF's mission and vision, and position BASF as an employer of choice.
  • Schedule interviews, organize room reservations, and block interviewers' calendars. Communicate promptly with candidates, providing them with all necessary details to adequately prepare them for their interviews.
  • Draft offer letters for internal and external candidates, adapting them to reflect the unique aspects of each position, paying special attention to the characteristics of different types of positions. Ensure that the offers are complete and comply with global guidelines and internal policies.
  • Prioritize the timely completion of background and medical checks, highlighting our commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for all employees. This attention to detail throughout the process is key, as it will give candidates confidence in our company.
  • Efficiently transfer candidate files and information to SAP and myHR to initiate the onboarding process. Ensure timely uploading of electronic files into employees' personal folders.
  • Participate in projects related to talent acquisition activities, process improvement, and tool implementation.
  • Support the focal point in the audit during internal and external processes.



Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements for the Position:

  • Education: University degree or advanced student in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred.
  • Work Experience: 3 - 5 years of working experience in an HR or Recruiting environment.
  • Languages: Advanced English, excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advance skills in applicant tracking system (ATS) ex. Taleo / Success Factor, or demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new systems.
    • Ability to identify areas of improvement and propose alternative solutions to work towards that goal.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Communication: Effectively communicate with a variety of individuals, including candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders. This involves clearly and concisely explaining available job vacancies, answering questions, and providing feedback.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
    • Organizational Skills: Manage your time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Adaptability: Be able to quickly and easily adapt to changes and new situations, which is essential for success in the dynamic field of talent acquisition.
    • Service Mindset Focus on delivering exceptional service by actively listening to understand the needs and priorities of your stakeholders and striving to exceed their expectations
