Key Responsibilities
- Contribute in all phases of the application development lifecycle.
- Design, develop, and deliver high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and data analytics platforms.
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Implement and maintain REST APIs and backend services.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability.
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives, proposing new technologies and participating in architectural reviews.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in backend or data engineering roles.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Golang.
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Solid experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, AuroraDB) and query optimization.
- Experience with non-relational databases (Redis, DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of data modeling and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience working with distributed data processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Presto, or similar).
- Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably AWS (S3, Redshift, RDS, Lambda, Glue, EMR, etc.) or GCP.
- Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and platform tools.
- Advanced/fluent English (written and spoken).
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity to learn, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban, JIRA).
- Familiarity with orchestration tools (Apache Airflow, Prefect, Mage, or similar).
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, or similar).
- Familiarity with streaming technologies.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments.
- Understanding of various data formats (AVRO, JSON, Parquet, CSV).
