Supply Chain Analyst

Main objective:

Manage the entire sample process from receipt of request through successful completion and delivery to customer, communicating key events and status as required. Collaborates with and support internal BASF functions such as Sales, Supply Chain, Product Management, & Technical Groups with all aspects of the sampling process to ensure the timely delivery of all sample requests.


Main Tasks:

• Process Domestic & Import sample requests via Sales Orders and Purchase Orders in SAP.
• Demonstrate effective back-order management by monitoring HOM Report & correctly assigning Usage Codes within sales orders.
• Enforce business rules and raise awareness about situations where a resolution requires cross functional coordination.
• Work with various businesses, labs & shipping locations, as well as corporate functions, costing, dangerous goods, tariff, product regulatory, and customer service to ensure they provide timely and accurate processing for their functions in the order process.
• Have a solid understanding of supply planning / inventory management for specific businesses / locations. Be able to do global inventory checks and understand how to track / follow material movements in SAP.
• Cultivate positive interactions with teammates, customers, global colleagues, and other internal partners to make appropriate decisions, remove obstacles that may impact BASF’s ability to satisfy demands, and provide streamlined communication on order status.
• Identify areas for improvement with the current process and raise awareness to management.
  
  
  

Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements for the Position:

• Education: University Degree in Foreign Trade, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement or similar
• Working Experience: 1-3 years of previous experience in similar positions or roles with focus in service delivery.
• Language Skills: Spanish (Advanced), English (Advanced).
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of SAP or other ERP System, MS Office.
• Soft Skills: Effective communication, customer service focus, planning and prioritization skills.
